Fred Gibb was the drivng force behind it. COPO stands for Central Office Production Offer, 50 of them were first produced| The agreement was that Fred Gibb had to produce 50 of these "Central Office Production Offer" engine or COPO for short|There were only 50 of these COPO engines produced (Central Office Production Offer)}There was only 19 cars sold with the engine installed. It was a large 427 CI Engine in a small light body<br /><br />The improved Camaro<br /><br />In 1969, the largest engine GM would offer was the 6.6L. The 1969 Camaro for sale was a much safer car. There was a loop hole.
